10 More Cobras Rescued from House in Odisha’s Bhadrak

Bhadrak : A day after over hundreds of cobra snakes were rescued from a house in the district, snake helpline officials on Monday rescued as many as 10 cobras from a house at Kantabania village under Dhamnagar Notified Area Council (NAC) in the district in Odisha, has triggered panic among residents of the area

According to available information,the snakes were rescued from the house of one Gouranga Jena in the village this morning. His son initially spotted two cobras inside the house, following which eight others were found by the family members who later put the reptiles inside an earthen pot.

As soon as the news spread, locals in large numbers gathered near the village to see the snakes.

On June 23, as many as 126 cobras were rescued from the house of one Bijay Bhuyan at Paika Sahi in Shyamsundarpur village under Dhamnagar police station limits in the district. Bijay Bhuiyan had a termite mound in his house where he had spotted a cobra a few months back A day after, three more cobras were rescued from the same house in the district.
