2019-Is Congress trying to copacetic BJD in Odisha?

BJD Supremo and Odisha CM’s One liner reply, whenever questioned about Alliance, “We will maintain Equidistant from Congress and BJP’

However  on March 15,After Results of Gorakhpur and Phulpur seats in UP were Declared,BSP and SP Has won the Seat Handsomely,a tricky reply by Pattnaik suddenly raised the Political Temperature of  Odisha.

On Responding to Senior Journalist Question of Arch Rival BSP and SP Coming together to contain Modi and Shah Juggernaut, Is he thinking any such Alliance? Naveen Responded- “We haven’t thought of any alliance for the time being.”

It implies that, if situation warrants in future, this regional satrap might spring up a surprise and also may lead the Third Front.

After the Result of Karnataka Election declared,Naveen aligning with Third Front seems relevance,BJD’S alliance with Congress also can’t be ruled out.Since Naveen never lose chance to declare himself Secular and the Prime motto of BJD and Congress is to keep BJP at Bay in Odisha. After there was sudden Rise of Saffron Party in Odisha in Panchayat Polls

Sources say Naveen is Fearing Karnataka like situation, where his BJD,if reaches close to Magic number but unable to get Majority, here Naveen may require Congress support to form Government and in return he will support Congress Party at Centre in 2019 General Election.

A senior Congress leader speaking on condition of anonymity to The Fact Now said

We are Instructed not to Attack ruling BJD in state, instead we will go all out against BJP

Also in Second Scenario a Pre Poll Alliance may not split the secular Votes in state

Meanwhile the statements coming from different BJP Quarters about BJD will form alliance with Congress in run up to 2019 polls is sealing the prospect of Alliance between Congress and BJD

Earlier Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram had said the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and the Congress may enter into a “tactful understanding” to keep the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) out of power in Odisha in 2019 elections.

He, however, said it will have no impact on BJP’s poll prospects.

Ironically Naveen is known for keeping his Cards close to his Chest,As Neither Pattnaik nor His Party colleague are attended the swearing in ceremony of H D Kumarswamy in Bengaluru, which was seen as platform for various opposition parties to Unite. Naveen skipped  the mega event, when at least four chief minister and many regional satraps were in attendance.
