Angul: An elephant was found dead near the forest area of Jagannathpur here in the district on Monday morning.
After the locals informed, the forest officials reached the spot to take stock of the situation. They have recovered the elephant’s body from the forest.
It is believed that the elephant was about 6-7 years old. The forest officials are further investigating into the death of the jumbo.
