Odisha CM CM Buys First Ticket Of Opening Ceremony Of Men’s Hockey World Cup 2018, Now it’s fan’s turn to Grab

Bhubaneswar: While avid Hockey Fans wait with athirst  to purchase the tickets for a mesmerising AR Rahman concert, a power-packed Shah Rukh Khan, Pravash  extravagant opening ceremony. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday bought the first ticket for the grand opening ceremony of Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2018.

Patnaik bought the ticket of the mega event at a cost of Rs 500. Hockey India CEO Elena Norman handed over the ticket to the CM at the state Secretariat, who himself paid the ticket fare.

 

The tickets for the opening ceremonies, scheduled to be held at Kalinga Stadium in Odisha capital on November 27 and Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on November 28, will be available online from 12 pm on November 20.

“The tickets will only be available online. There will be no complimentary tickets and passes. Like the honourable CM, everyone should go online tomorrow at noon to purchase the tickets,” Elena told the media after the meeting.

The Hockey India had made an announcement about the online ticket sale on its official Twitter handle on Sunday.

Around 10,500 tickets would be sold for the inaugural ceremony in Bhubaneswar and 30,000 tickets for the November 28 event, sources said.

The Hockey India yesterday has announced the date for the online sale of the opening ceremony of the international hockey event. The tickets will be available only online at http://ticketgenie.in/event/hwc-opening-ceremony from Nov 20 at 12.00 pm.

“While AR Rahman has confirmed his performance for both the dates, Shah Rukh Khan will be present only for the November 27 opening ceremony in Kalinga Stadium. Shah Rukh Khan will not be performing, he will be giving only a speech,” Norman explained
