Political Earthquake in Odisha,2 Senior most BJP Leaders quit BJP,Kalikesh give hints they may join BJD

Bhubaneswar:Two major jolts shook the Odisha unit of the BJP ahead of the 2019 polls as senior leader Bijoy Mohapatra resigned from the party today, moments after Former Union Minister and  ex-Rourkela MLA Dilip Rai quits, which may hit the Prospect of BJP badly in State in 2019 as Mohapatra is known for his acumens and strategist

It’s a Big Development in Odisha Politics,Two senior leaders Former Union Minister Dilip Rai and BJD Co Founder Bijay Mohapatra quits BJP for being sidelined in Party Affairs.

While Dilip ray alleged of PM Modi of not keeping his promise of  turning IGH(Ispat General Hospital) into Super speciality Hospital, which PM Modi has promised during a Public Meeting in Rourkela.Rai represents Rourkela constituency.

In a resignation letter sent by Mohapatra and Ray to BJP national president Amit Shah, the two said that several leaders in the party have remained silent over various issues concerning the state fearing ‘denial of tickets’. Such silence is a bad sign for any democracy, they opined.

“The well meaning suggestions by us to you were construed as a threat by certain egocentric self servicing individuals who resorted to dirty tricks and a campaign was launched in our respective constituencies to try and deride us,” they said in the letter.

“As self respecting politicians with decades of service to Odisha, we refuse to continue in the party as showpieces. For us, the interest of the state is supreme. We have never ever compromised our self respect or the interest of the state for any post, power or ticket,” the duo added.

Friction between the two and the state unit of BJP was also evident in the past as there were several instances of Ray and Mohapatra not being invited to various party programmes.

Today Hon’ble MLA Dilip Rai has tendered his Resignation at 10:00am from his 12th Assembly constituency Rourkela.Whic I have accepted it and subsequently it was notified.I have intimated the Election Commision and others that 12th Assembly constituency Rourkela is Vacant”Said Speaker Pradip Amat

We both have resigned ,we have written letter to Shri Amit Shah,we have sent our resignation,we have mentioned all our points our grievance,it was long experience of 10 years,we tried to convince the National leaders, but nothing was addressed about the sorry state of affairs of Party. The Party leaders should analyse to Introspect. After we meet several leaders of district,we will decide on our future course of Action after few days,No body has talked to me,I have not talked to anyone”Bijay Mohapatra

Both Bijay Mohapatra and Dilip Rai are part of Biju Parivar,Even they were collegues of Biju Pattnaik in Janata Dal.They have taken right decision in quiting BJP,due to Lack of taking any Development work undertaking BJP in Odisha, where they will go only they can say,

Both Bijay Mohapatra ji and Dilip Rai ji are very Tall leaders, they are good Organizers they have good grass roots presence and can command lot of votes,Leaving BJP will diminish the chances of BJP in State and they will be asset to whichever Party they goes” Said Kalikesh Sighdeo(BJD MP
