Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati on Saturday urged the graduating class of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur to transition from job seekers to job creators, highlighting the growing opportunities for entrepreneurship and innovation across the nation.
Addressing the 10th convocation of the premier business school, Kambhampati emphasised the significance of India’s “unprecedented startup revolution,” which he noted is being propelled by flagship government initiatives including Startup India, Digital India, Make in India, and Skill India.
The Governor said that India is rapidly transforming into a global powerhouse for startups and technology, bolstered by a robust support system of strategic funding, professional mentorship, and favourable policy frameworks.
Kambhampati lauded IIM-Sambalpur as a beacon of academic excellence and inclusiveness, praising its ability to integrate rich cultural heritage with a modern, technology-centric educational approach.
Prativa Mohapatra, Vice President and Managing Director of Adobe India and Prof Mahadeo Prasad Jaiswal, Director of IIM-Sambalpur, also spoke on the occasion.
