Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi joined school students and local residents at the government-run Raj Bhavan Upper Primary School in Bhubaneswar this Sunday to listen to the 130th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme.

While attending the radio programme session on the school premises, the Chief Minister took the opportunity to explain to the children the core purpose and motivational intent behind the Prime Minister’s monthly address.

He specifically drew attention to the achievements of young Indians in the startup ecosystem and encouraged the students to maintain a constant focus on innovation.

“I got an opportunity to listen to the Prime Minister’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme here and to interact with school students and locals of Unit-8 area in central Bhubaneswar,” Majhi told reporters.

During the broadcast of the radio programme, the Prime Minister touched upon several critical themes, including the significance of National Voters’ Day, which coincided with the programme on Sunday, Majhi noted.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the Prime Minister emphasised youth participation in launching startups centred on emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and semiconductors—sectors where Odisha is becoming a significant player.

“We are going to set up five semiconductor projects in the state. Foundation stones of a few projects have already been laid,” the CM said.

Majhi claimed that Odisha is the first state in India to formulate its own AI Policy-2025 and started working for its implementation.
