Bodies of two young men were discovered by Odisha Police with multiple injury marks inside a garage in Cuttack district early Wednesday morning.
The victims have been identified as 23-year-old Prasant Kumar Jena and 21-year-old Mohammad Soheb, both residents of the Choudwar police station.
According to police officials, the scene was particularly gruesome, with the two youths found tied to a pillar with rope.
Cuttack (Rural) Superintendent of Police, Vinit Agrawal, said that the bodies have been seized and sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
A formal case has been registered at the Tangi police station.
Following a preliminary probe, police suspect the duo was tortured to death.
