The Odisha government on Tuesday announced a major reshuffle among senior IAS officers, assigning fresh responsibilities to several officials across key state departments.
According to a notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department, Director of Secondary Education Birendra Korkora has been posted as Additional Secretary in the Home Department.
Aradhana Das, who served as Additional Secretary in the Home Department, has been transferred to take charge as Additional Secretary in the Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department.
Jugaleswari Dash, currently serving as the Director of OBC, has been appointed as the new Director of Secondary Education.
Archana Das Pattanaik, Additional Secretary in the Excise Department, has been named Director of AYUSH. In a direct swap, outgoing Director of AYUSH Anjana Panda will assume charge as Additional Secretary in the Excise Department.
In another major appointment, Sanjay Kumar Biswal, Additional Secretary in the Commerce and Transport Department, has been posted as the Director of Information and Public Relations (I&PR), Bhubaneswar.
Sundara Madhaba Padhi, Deputy Secretary in the Works Department, has been named Chief Operating Officer of the Odisha Maritime Board. He will also continue to hold additional charge as General Manager of the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation.
