A minor earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 was felt across several locations in Odisha’s Kalahandi district on Wednesday evening, according to officials.
The National Centre for Seismology recorded the tremor at 7.42 pm. The seismic event was centred at latitude 19.729 degrees North and longitude 82.599 degrees East, occurring at a depth of 24 kilometres beneath the Earth’s surface.
Residents in the blocks of Dharmagada, Junagarh, Koksara, Thuamul Rampur, and Bhawanipatna experienced the tremors, which lasted for several seconds.
Authorities stated that there have been no immediate reports of injuries or structural damage resulting from the earthquake in the impacted regions.
