Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, and Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik extended their warm greetings to the people of the state on Thursday, welcoming the year 2026 with prayers for peace, unity, and collective progress.
Taking to his X handle, Odisha Governor wrote in a post, “I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to you and your family on the occasion of the New Year. May the divine blessings of Prabhu Jagannath bestow peace, good health and happiness, and may the year ahead be marked by harmony, purpose and optimism for the greater good. I wish you every success and a truly fulfilling year ahead.”
In his official address, CM Majhi emphasized a vision of growth and cooperation. He called upon the citizens to work in unison to build a “strong, inclusive, and prosperous Odisha.”
Reaffirming the spiritual sentiment of the state, the CM added, “The life of all may be blissful by the grace of Lord Jagannath.”

LoP and BJD supremo Patnaik also reached out to the public through a heartfelt video message. Beginning with the traditional salutation “Jai Jagannath,” Patnaik expressed his hopes that 2026 would serve as a year of well-being not just for the state, but for the entire nation.
In the video message, Patnaik conveyed his warm New Year 2026 greetings to the people and said, “Jai Jagannath. My greetings and best wishes to all on the occasion of the New Year 2026. By the immense grace of Lord Jagannath, may the New Year bring happiness, peace, and prosperity to everyone’s life.”
