The Odisha government on Tuesday approved 20 projects with a total proposed investment of Rs 4,353 crore that are expected to generate 7,815 jobs across 11 districts of the state, said an official.
The projects were approved at the 142nd meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, during the Samrudha Odisha event held in Bhubaneswar.
The approved projects span diverse sectors such as chemicals, electronics, aluminium, tourism, infrastructure, IT services, power & renewable energy, and food processing sectors, reinforcing the state’s commitment to balanced regional development and sustainable industrialisation.
The projects are distributed across Angul, Dhenkanal, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Khurda, Koraput, Puri, Sambalpur and Sundergarh districts.
“These approvals underscore the state government’s proactive approach in attracting quality investments, ensuring last-mile facilitation, and enabling the setting up of industries with ease. By distributing industrial projects across multiple districts, Odisha is promoting regionally balanced growth while unlocking new employment avenues for its young population,” the official said.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the government is aligning industrial growth with its long-term vision of ‘Samruddha Odisha 2036’, focusing on job creation, skilling and entrepreneurship, a statement release by the government read.
Officials said the move underscores Odisha’s proactive approach to attracting quality investments and ensuring ease of doing business.
Among the approved projects include a beverage unit by PT Works Pvt Ltd in Jagatsinghpur to be set up at an investment of Rs 532 crore, which is expected to create 240 jobs, and a floating solar project by NTPC SAIL Power Company Ltd in Sundargarh at Rs 710.27 crore, expected to generate 68 jobs.
Additionally, Annantham Solar Energies Pvt Ltd will set up a solar cell and module facility at an investment of Rs 271 crore in Dhenkanal, creating 1,700 jobs, and RKD Hotels Pvt Ltd setting up a resort in Puri at an investment of Rs 58.8 crore, creating 1,164 jobs.
Rashmi Metallurgical Industry Pvt Ltd will set up an iron ore beneficiation plant in Keonjhar at an investment of Rs 600 crore, creating 400 jobs.
Tourism emerged as a major focus area, with multiple high-end resorts and hotels approved in Puri and Koraput, while renewable energy projects in Angul, Sundargarh, and Khurda signal the state’s green push.
