The Odisha unit of the BJP has announced a fortnight-long series of service-oriented programs “Seva Pakhya,” to mark the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The celebrations will be held from September 17, Modi’s birthday, to October 2, Gandhi Jayanti.

The decision in this regard was taken during a preparatory seminar for ‘Seva Pakshya’, chaired by BJP state president Manmohan Samal and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

During the fortnight service, BJP workers will organize various initiatives, including free health camps, blood donation camps, cleanliness campaigns and plantation programmes.

According to Jatin Mohanty, the party’s state general secretary, the events will be celebrated with great enthusiasm across the state.

“The Odisha BJP will celebrate the fortnight marking PM’s 75th birth anniversary with enthusiasm. The fortnight will be observed from September 17 to Gandhi Jayanti on October 2,” Mohanty told reporters.

Mohanty further said that BJP workers will observe it at all levels, during which there will be free health camps, blood donation camps, cleanliness campaigns, plantation programmes and other events.

In addition to these community service events, an exhibition on the life of Prime Minister Modi will be held, and films about him will be screened, Mohanty said.

The party will also celebrate the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay on September 25 at the state, district, and booth levels, he added.
