Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo, and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) President Naveen Patnaik extended their congratulations to JD(U) supremo Nitish Kumar after the latter was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Bihar for a record tenth time on Thursday.
Chief Minister Majhi, who attended the ceremony in Patna alongside Deputy Chief Ministers KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his best wishes.
The CM wrote, “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Shri @NitishKumar ji on being sworn in for the tenth term as Chief Minister of Bihar. His distinguished record of public service continues to inspire not only the people of Bihar but the entire nation.”

BJD President and Leader of the Opposition in the Odisha Assembly, Naveen Patnaik, also took to X to extend his wishes, stating, “Congratulate Shri @NitishKumar ji on being sworn in as the Chief Minister of #Bihar. I wish, under your leadership the state reaches new heights of development. Best wishes.”
CM Majhi emphasized that the “overwhelming mandate” received by the BJP and the NDA in the recent Bihar elections demonstrates the public’s confidence in “principled, people-centric governance.”
He then connected the Bihar assembly elections outcome with Odisha’s political landscape, stating, “The recent election outcomes in Bihar, along with the decisive victory in the Nuapada bypoll in my state Odisha, reaffirm public confidence in the BJP, NDA and the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting the alliance’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable growth.”
Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo, who witnessed the event where senior BJP leader Samrat Choudhary and JD(U)’s Vijay Kumar Sinha were also sworn in as Deputy Chief Ministers, expressed confidence that the NDA’s “double-engine government” in Bihar will usher in a new era of progress under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, driving the state towards the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047.’
“As I witness this historic moment, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Shri @NitishKumar Ji on taking oath as Chief Minister of Bihar, and to Shri @samrat4bjp Ji and Shri @VijayKrSinhaBih Ji on assuming office as Deputy Chief Ministers, along with the newly constituted cabinet,” the Deputy CM wrote in the post.
