Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will embark on a four-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates starting September 8, aimed at attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) for the state, Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain announced Tuesday.

Swain stated that the Chief Minister will head a high-level state delegation to the West Asian country, engaging in a packed schedule of events including high-level roadshows, sector-specific roundtable discussions, and exclusive one-on-one meetings with potential global investors.

During the four-day tour, CM Majhi plans to showcase Odisha’s industrial readiness and highlight its investor-friendly policy framework, positioning the state as a prime destination for international capital and industrial expansion, the minister said.

Highlighting the state’s existing economic ties with the region, Swain noted that Odisha recently secured an FDI commitment worth Rs 1.08 lakh crore from a UAE-based company, expressing strong confidence that this upcoming delegation will draw further substantial commitments.

Addressing queries regarding the delegation’s key agenda, the minister emphasized that state representatives will present opportunities across a broad array of industries, stating that Odisha is actively seeking cross-sectoral global investments.
