Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated a series of infrastructure projects, including a significant new bridge over the Ardei Nala, on Saturday in his home district of Keonjhar.

During the ceremony, CM Majhi emphasised that the completion of the bridge fulfils a long-standing grievance and demand of the residents of Bodapalasa Gram Panchayat. The new bridge is set to directly benefit over 5,000 people across Bodapalasa and five neighbouring gram panchayats.

The Chief Minister noted that this vital infrastructure project will provide a fresh identity to the Keonjhar Sadar region. The 100-metre-long bridge is expected to transform transportation in the region and support overall development, the chief minister said.

In addition to the bridge, the Chief Minister inaugurated a newly constructed underpass at Langlakanti on the Panikoili-Rimuli section of the new NH-20. The underpass serves as a critical link along NH-20, which functions as one of the state’s most essential arteries for the movement of goods and people.

During the visit, Majhi also attended several other functions, a CMO official said.
