Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi, announced a 2 per cent hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for employees of state-run Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), an official statement announced on Friday.
This will result in eligible employees receiving arrears for the past nine months, providing an immediate boost to their take-home pay and helping to offset the impact of inflation on household expenses.
With the latest revision, the DA for PSU employees has increased from 53 per cent to 55 per cent.
The increased allowance will take effect retrospectively from January 1, 2025, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said in a release.
