Odisha’s Revenue and Disaster Management Minister, Suresh Pujari, was admitted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar on Tuesday evening after complaining of acute chest pain, according to hospital sources.
Upon arrival, Pujari was immediately moved to the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CTV ICU) for specialised care. Medical evaluations quickly identified the underlying cause of his distress.
Hospital sources said that the Minister has been diagnosed with Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) and Triple Vessel Disease (TVD). Following the diagnosis, a coronary angiography was promptly performed to assess the extent of the blockages.
Currently, the senior cabinet minister is under observation, and his condition is stated to be stable, they added.
