Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi felicitated Sattwik Satyakam Devta, who achieved the 100th rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination, on Saturday.
The 29-year-old Sattwik Satyakam Devta, a native of Hatadihi block in Keonjhar district, met the Chief Minister at Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar, accompanied by his parents.
While offering his congratulations, Majhi wished Sattwik success in his future endeavours and noted that his accomplishment would serve as a powerful inspiration for the state’s youth.
“Serving the people is the prime objective of civil service,” the chief minister said, advising him to work with dedication for the betterment of society.

A mechanical engineering graduate from the Odisha University of Technology and Research (OUTR) in Bhubaneswar, Sattwik successfully cleared the prestigious All India Examination on his sixth attempt.
Since 2023, he has been serving as an assistant manager at NABARD. His father, Goswami Devta, is a retired bureaucrat.
Other notable qualifiers from the state included Amrit Mahapatra from Puri, who secured the 121st rank. Amrit, whose father served as a deputy director in the state’s Information and Public Relations department, previously held the 46th rank in the Odisha Civil Service examination.
Apart from Sattwik and Amrit, Tanisha Mishra secured the 211th rank, while Vishal Pattanayak stood 341st.
