Jatni Based sculptor L. Eshwar Rao has created miniatures of the Hockey World Cup. The sculptures would charm anyone. He has made impressive replicas of the cup with graphite pencil tip and one inside the Bottle. Rao, living in Jatni village of Khurda district in Odisha, Rao wants to send his best wishes to all teams participating in the Hockey World Cup.
He is known for his miniature idols in bottles because of which the locals address him as ‘bottle-bhitara karigara’.
Eshwar have been working on Miniature since last 25 years,Moreover, he has displayed around 500 miniatures of Lord Ganesh in different forms, many of which are inside bottles.
These miniatures range from half inch Ganesh idol carved out of pencil tip to 5 inches carvings of stone and wood.
He has created miniatures from to observe specific occasions and seasons. The main objects used for his art are things like clay, graphite pencil tips, chalks, crayons, rice grains, soap, wood, used ball pens, coal and even tobacco seeds serve as medium of his artistic talent.
“I have made this replica on the occasion of Hockey World Cup,It took me 3 hours for creating on Pencil Tip and 7 Days for creating inside the Bottle.If Government give me a chance I will exhibit my sculpture inside Stadium” said Eshwar.
