Talcher:Four workers were feared killed and nine injured in a landslide at the Bharatpur Colliery of Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd in Odisha’s Talcher
The incident occurred between 11:00 pm 11:30 pm last night when coal blasting was underway. In effect of the blast, a portion of land collapsed causing a landslide and trapping over 10 workers, heavy-weight vehicles and equipment’s.
Talcher police and Fire personnel MCL’s Director (Technical/Operations) and Director (Personnel) have rushed to the spot and initiated rescue operation.Mines Department Officials are supervising the operation.
The rescued worker has been admitted to Talcher hospital for treatment
