Kendrapada/Balasore :V Karthikeyan Pandian 5T Secretary of Odisha Government paid a surprise visit to Talasari and Udaipur beaches in Balasore district and the Bhitarkanika National Park in Kendrapara district, The Odisha government is most likely to announce a comprehensive package for development of these places
Accompanied by the chief secretary Asit Tripathy and Works secretary Krishan Kumar, he arrived at the beach area in Talasari and Udaipur early in the morning. Later, he had a meeting with the authorities concerned to prepare a blueprint for the development of these two beach areas of the state.
The state government is keen on developing tourist destinations in the North Odisha with special focus on employment and economic growth. Following the visit of the 5T secretary, work on developing these two beach areas is most likely be taken up with the approval from Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, official sources said.
Kendrapada Collector, Samarth Verma was also present along with the senior officials. Pandian discussed the status of tourist facilities with Rajnagar DFO, Bikash Ranjan Dash. The team advised Forest Officials not to move high-speed motorboats in the breeding grounds of crocodiles.
The visit of the 5-T Secretary with senior officials of the State Government is being seen as a step towards increasing tourist inflow and development of infrastructure in and around Bhitarkanika National Park.
