Puri: Lord Jagannath’s Nandighosha chariot reaches its destination with much enthusiasm here today. Lord Jagannath reached his aunt’s abode Sri Gundicha temple amid beating of gongs and frenzied chanting and ‘hulahuli’.
Though the chariots of Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra had reached Gundicha temple yesterday, Lord Jagannath’s Nandighosha chariot halted midway near Balagandi chhak. The deity spent the whole night on the chariot at the ‘Bada Danda’ with devotees having darshan of the Lord.The journey resumed on Sunday morning after the morning rituals of the Lord on the chariot.
Police have tightened the security arrangements around the three chariots at the Gundicha temple for the smooth conduct of the rituals. The ‘Adapa Mandap Bije’ of the deities would be held tomorrow.
Shree Jaganath Temple Administration (SJTA) officials informed that the Trinity will be taken inside Gundicha temple in the ceremonial pahandi after completion of several rituals today.
