Keonjhar: In a shocking case of Blind Belief in 21st Century, 56 children were branded with hot iron rod to cure stomach ache.
The incident is of Baradapal panchayat in Keonjhar town. The people of this region believe more on local quack than medical treatment from Doctors.
At feast organized on Makar Sankranti Eve, the villagers had ‘Pitha’ (pancakes) after which the children complained of stomach pain. The quack swung into action and branded the affected children with iron rods
