Odisha unit of Samajwadi Party led by Party President Ravi Behera today held a Massive Protest in Capital Bhubaneswar against Walmart’s Flipkart Buy saying Lakhs of small Traders raising concerns about losing business if the deal concludes.
Notably Shopkeepers and traders affiliated to a local trade group began sit-in protests across the country today against Walmart Inc’s proposed $16 billion acquisition of e-commerce firm Flipkart.
Currently Walmart India operates its cash-and-carry business across 21 Best Price Modern Wholesale stores in India. The company plans open 50 more stores in the next few years with 5-7 set to be launched this year.
