In a Spine chilling incident a newborn baby girl was found dumped in a garbage heap inside the Jeypore sub-division hospital premises in district here
Somebody had thrown the newborn at the garbage dump and left.
Later, stray dogs pulled the body out of the garbage and were found eating the body of the infant. People saw the gory incident at sub-divisional hospital in Jeypore in the district and then informed the hospital officials.
It’s suspected that the baby girl is 3-4 days old and her parents might have dumped her. The incident had irked the onlookers and tension prevailed on hospital premises for quite some time, sources said.
The Sub-Division Medical officer (SDMO) has informed media that the incident is horrible and very sad. They will be investigating the whole matter.
Meanwhile, police reached the spot and questioning the hospital authorities about the incident and is trying to find out the identity of the baby and her parents.
