Kendrapada/Puri: In a major lightning mishap, At least six people were killed and several others injured in separate lightning incidents in Kendrapara and Puri districts on Wednesday.
The deceased have been identified as Dillip Mallick, Ajay Nayak, Bijaya Nayak, Gangadhar Behera and Papuni Das of Kendrapara district and Gita Bhoi of Puri district.
two persons Dillip Mallick of Marilo village and Ajay Nayak of Gotribila village died in lightning strike while they were working in a farmland in Garadpur block of kendrapara district
Besides Gita Bhoi, a resident of Nimapada village under Bant block of Puri district wa also killed in lightning strike while she was working at a field.
