The Manager of a coal mine in Orient Area of Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL), at Brajrajnagar was nabbed by the CBI today while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from an employee.
Surendra Kumar has been caught red handed by CBI team while he was taking bribe of rupees twenty thousand from a underground mine worker at Orient office.
Surendra Kumar, the manager of Mines at Orient Area had demanded money from the employee, a labourer Sirajuddin, to facilitate his transfer to another project.
Siraujddin reported the matter to CBI following which a 15-member team from Bhubaneswar and Rourkela set a trap and caught Kumar red-handed while accepting the said amount.
