Bhubaneswar:In a Noble gesture by Navratna CPSE NALCO in its effort to fight Covid-19
National Aluminium Company Tuesday contributed Rs 10.20 crore for the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.
The Navratna aluminium company contributed Rs 5 crore to the PM CARES Fund. Its employees donated their one day salary which comes to Rs 2.6 crore to the PM CARES Fund. The employees also contributed Rs 2.6 c rore, their one day salary, to the Odisha Chief Ministers Relief Fund – COVID Fund.

“Nalconians stands with the nation and with the people of Odisha in the fight against COVID-19,” tweeted Nalco.
The PM CARES, or the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance Fund, has been set up as a public charitable trust. The Prime Minister is the chairman of this trust and its members include Defence Minister, Home Minister and Finance Minister.
