Odisha-Rainfall to Continue till February 9, Predicts IMD

Rainfall is likely to lash the districts of Coastal and Interior Odisha till February 9, informed Director of Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, HR Biswas, on Wednesday.

The morning weather bulletin predicted that there will be thunderstorms with lightning at one or two places in keonjhar, Boudh, Kandhamal, Sonepur, Angul, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Deogarh and Balangir districts and in some parts of coastal Odisha on Wednesday under the influence of a cyclonic circulation.

The highest rainfall of 22.8 mm has been recorded in Sonepur followed by 22.0 mm in Rairakhol. Temperature above normal has been recorded at most of the places while dense fog reported from Sundargarh.

Besides, there will be dense fog at one or two places in Rayagada, Kalahandi and Kandhamal districts during the period.
