Gangster and the master mind behind several tender fixing cases, Tito alias Syed Usman Ali was nabbed after he got injured in a police encounter at Chandikhole Chhak on Saturday
The dreaded criminal sustained bullet injuries in his left leg and was admitted to Badachana hospital. He was later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack after his condition deteriorated.
A team of STF officials led by DIG Himanshu Lal picked up Tito from his house in Kendrapara district. The team had to open fire on him when he attempted to flee near Chandikhol here said Police Sources
Tito was involved in a number of cases including firing and extortion under different police stations across the state, said a senior official of STF. He was also involved in the firing incident of March 29 which took place in Jagatpur of Cuttack district and left suspected terror operative Abdul Rahman’s brother Tahir injured.
Most of the cases pertain to murder, dacoity, extortion, kidnapping and tender fixing.He was heading a well-knit crime syndicate
