Bhubaneswar:A youth working in Mumbai has allegedly been duped by an Odia film industry actress chinmayee priyadarshini. The actress has allegedly taken cash, gold jewellery and a laptop from victim Padmaraju Ravi Kumar on the pretext of marrying him.
Kumar he has reported the matter to Commissionerate police through an email.
While the allegation is yet to be ascertained Commissionerate Police has started an investigation into a matter against the actress
Meanwhile Padmaraju told the media that he had got a call from friend of the actress, who identified himself as Debaraj Sahoo, and he asked him to visit Bhubaneswar and take back the items and Money. “A few hours later, a woman also telephoned and asked me take back the items,” Raju said. The youth also refuted the actress’s claim that he had taken a hand loan of 1.5 lakh from her and had transferred Rs 50,000 online to her account for that reason.
Notably after Padmaraju accused Chinmayee Priyadasrshini of cheating on media on Tuesday, the actress told media, “I had given hand loan of Rs 1.5 lakh to the Vizag youth as he was one of the friends of mine. For this reason, he had transferred Rs 50,000 online into my account. When I denied accepting his marriage proposal and asked for my money loaned to him, the youth got irked and threatened to tarnish my image.”
Padmaraju had sent an email to the DGP and Twin City Police Commissioner saying that Chinmayee had taken Rs 2 lakh, laptop and gold chain from him with the false promise to marry him.
