Upadhyay had demanded Rs 1 lakh for passing a bill, Accordingly a trap was laid by Vigilance officials to catch him red handed
The officer is currently serving as the Director of Horticulture, Odisha Government. The bureaucrat’s office and residence were searched by the anti-corruption agency officials after his arrest.
The information was received as a part of the feedback mechanism of ‘Mo Sarkar’ initiative
