She Tranformed Delhi: President,Prime Minister,Journos condole Sheila Dikshit’s Demise

New Delhi:Veteran Congress leader and three-time Delhi Chief Minister passed away on Saturday afternoon after suffering a cardiac arrest. She was 81. Though she had been reportedly keeping unwell for a few days, she was active in politics and her demise has come as a shock to many.

President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to condole her death. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was also one of those who expressed sorrow at her death.

Sheila Dikshit, who served as the Chief Minister of Delhi for three consecutive terms, 15 years, passed away on Saturday, due to a cardiac arrest, according to reports. She had been suffering from heart problems for a long time. Sheila Dikshit had cardiac arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat) and had undergone surgery for the same, in France, last year. As reported by ANI and told by one of the senior doctors of the Escorts Fortis Hospital where she was admitted, she suffered a cardiac arrest after which she was put on a ventilator. She later passed away peacefully.
