Bhubaneswar:The IMD Regional Centre here has issued thunderstorm and rainfall alert for at least 13 districts of Odisha today.
As per the latest bulletin issued by the regional Meteorological Centre here, thunderstorm and lightning will occur in districts like Khordha, Koraput, Malkangiri, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Angul, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundergarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur and Dhenkanal are expected to experience moderate thundershower and lightning along with a few spells of intense rainfall between 8 AM and 10 AM.
As a precautionary measure people residing in these districts have been told to take shelter in safe places and avoid venturing out of the home during the alerted period.
