Odisha CM Joins Utkal University’s ‘Platinum Jubilee’ Celebrations,Sanction’s Rs 100 Crore for Infra Development

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday inaugurated the five-day ‘platinum jubilee’ celebrations of Utkal University here in Bhubaneswar.

Naveen announced that the State government has sanctioned Rs 100 crore assistance for infrastructure development of Utkal University in Bhubaneswar.

The funds to be utilized for opening six centres of excellence,” said Naveen

Patnaik further said that the youths are the real potential of a nation. “Their education, knowledge, creativity, innovation abilities and an undaunted spirit to conquer the world will decide the future of the nation.  As Odisha is now moving on the path of an unprecedented development process creating global benchmarks in many fields, I would call upon you to join this movement making your presence felt at all levels of success and achievements.

Alluding to the university’s role in shaping the state’s educational aspirations by achieving academic excellence, the CM said the varsity has been serving the learning needs of the state and the nation through creation of potential young minds.

Utkal University will celebrate the culmination of its year-long ‘platinum jubilee’ celebrations from November 23 to 27.

It has also been decided that parents of the students would be invited on November 25. Their feedback on the present education system and educational environment in the university would be taken.
